The "Hammer" Standard
"Masonry is an art. If the mortar color doesn't match, or the lines aren't straight, it ruins the house. We take the time to grind deep, clean thoroughly, and point perfectly."
Not Just a "Patch Job"
New York City masonry faces harsh winters and humid summers. Cheap "spot pointing" usually fails within a year.
We focus on water management and structural bonding. Whether it's a 100-year-old limestone stoop or a sinking paver driveway, we fix the root cause, not just the symptom.

Masonry FAQs
Can you match my existing brick color?
Yes. For "Premium" and "Signature" tiers, we perform mortar matching and can source reclaimed bricks to blend repairs seamlessly with your existing wall.
Do you handle Landmark Preservation Commission (LPC) permits?
Yes. For "Signature" projects in historic districts, we work with architects to ensure all materials and methods meet LPC standards.
Can masonry work be done in winter?
It depends. Cement requires temperatures above 40°F to cure properly. We can use additives or heated enclosures for emergency repairs, but full restoration is best done Spring through Fall.
What is the difference between Pointing and Re-Pointing?
They are often used interchangeably. Re-pointing specifically means grinding out the old, crumbling mortar joints (usually 3/4 inch deep) and filling them with fresh, new mortar to stabilize the wall.
